Over the past eleven years or so, the charm of vintage aesthetic has skyrocketed.
Clothing is vintage. Hairstyles are vintage. Pictures are vintage.
Why has aesthetic has become so trendy? Because it gives us that nostalgic feeling that warms up our hearts and live the lives we missed, that’s why.
Filling our home with unique vintage finds is my passion. I see the beauty in the old and imperfect. In frayed edges and tattered covers. In the worn-out and faded. To me, vintage designs are all about incorporating charm and character into a home. I have a high school buddy who compiles vintage photographs of strangers and old architecture from garage sales and repurposes them into varieties of very funky art.
Today’s theme: Spring flowers
The reason behind why white lilies are often used at Christian weddings is because it symbolizes virginity and purity.
The white lily, also known as Madonna lily, is depicted in religious art as the Virgin Mary symbol.
Orange lily, or commonly called tiger lily, is interpreted in several ways. It is generally thought to represent emotions of confidence and pride.
Dahlia flowers hold various meanings ranging from messages of enduring grace to signals of warning.
During the Victorian era, these flowers meant commitment, or everlasting bond or union. They are also known as the flower representing someone who stands firm in his/her sacred virtues.
The rose and the lily are generally associated with love. Both flowers are often mixed in bouquets to represent a union of two ideas.
The rose in all its color (excluding yellow) is usually thought of as the flower of romantic love, while lily correlates with pure innocence.
Fuschia flower stands for appreciating all things you have gained and being contented with what you achieved. Like hot pink, fuchsia is a mixture of red and purple that energizes and uplifts.
The color Fuschia (which is our new theme color!) inspires you to be in control and be responsible while maintaining a healthy dose of love and care. If you’re attracted to this color, your goal may be to preserve your uniqueness and individuality.
